## Executive Summary
Director Will Gluck explains why test audience feedback led him to remove significant amounts of nudity from the film One Night Only.

## Intelligence Brief
Director Will Gluck has revealed that he removed a substantial amount of nudity from his latest film, One Night Only. Described as a sexy romantic comedy and a "sex Purge movie," the project underwent significant editing to reduce on-screen sex. According to the director, the decision to purge these scenes was driven by the reactions and feedback provided by test audiences during the screening process. Gluck stated that the excessive nudity was actually detrimental to the viewer experience, noting that such content effectively takes the audience out of the movie. Coverage of these editing choices has been widespread across multiple media outlets.

Entertainment Weekly and Just Jared both focused on Gluck's explanations regarding the cuts, while The Independent highlighted his admission that he cut out a significant volume of material. Us Weekly specifically cited the director's reasoning that the nudity distracted from the film's narrative flow. Additionally, NEWS.am STYLE noted that as a result of these decisions, there is now almost no on-screen sex remaining in the final version of the movie, while inkl and Yahoo provided further confirmation that the nudity was excised. The context of this trend centers on the tension between the original creative vision of a "sex Purge movie" and the practicalities of audience reception. By categorizing the film as a romantic comedy with provocative themes, the production initially included more explicit content.

However, the transition from a director's cut to a theatrical version often involves test screenings to gauge how a general audience responds to specific scenes. In this case, the feedback indicated that the explicit nature of the scenes was counterproductive to the storytelling goals Gluck intended for the project. Observers will now be watching for the official release of One Night Only to see how the remaining romantic and comedic elements function without the previously planned nudity. Because the coverage confirms that the film now contains almost no on-screen sex, future discussions will likely focus on whether the "sexy rom-com" label remains accurate given the extensive purges mentioned by Will Gluck. There is currently no information regarding whether an uncut version of the film will be released, only that the theatrical experience was shaped by the specific negative reactions of test audiences.
