Bangladesh established a day-one stranglehold over Australia, following an earlier warm-up game where they were bowled out for 54 runs. Al Jazeera and other reporting note that Bangladesh humbled Australia by reducing them to the worst total in the contest, led by bowler Hasan Mahmud, who claimed six wickets for 55 runs. Future developments will depend on the subsequent days of the Test match in Darwin.
