## Executive Summary
The Chicago Bears designate Indiana as their sole stadium search focus while discussions with Illinois lawmakers continue.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent coverage from multiple media outlets, including the Chicago Sun-Times, NBC Sports, The New York Times, and CBS News, details ongoing developments regarding the Chicago Bears and their stadium search. Reports indicate that the Chicago Bears stated Indiana is now their sole focus for a new stadium location. At the same time, coverage notes that the team is still talking to Illinois officials, creating a complex picture of negotiations and geographical positioning. Specific reports from the Chicago Sun-Times and NBC Sports highlight that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell met with select Illinois lawmakers on Thursday.

CBS News adds perspective from Governor JB Pritzker, who stated his belief that the Chicago Bears want to stay in Illinois. However, the governor noted that the team has not yet offered a bill to address stadium needs within the state, highlighting a distinct gap in the legislative process. The context surrounding these developments involves an ongoing evaluation of stadium options by the franchise, crossing state lines between Illinois and Indiana. The active involvement of the NFL commissioner through direct meetings with lawmakers underscores the high-level attention these venue discussions are attracting.

The juxtaposition between designating Indiana as the sole focus and maintaining active talks with Illinois officials forms the core of the current reporting. Coverage does not yet specify the final outcomes of these legislative meetings or the precise locations under consideration in Indiana. Observers and readers must monitor future updates from the aforementioned outlets to see whether the conversations with Illinois lawmakers yield a formal legislative proposal or if the team advances its plans exclusively across the border in Indiana.
