## Executive Summary
Actor Ewan McGregor is publicly urging Disney to allow him to return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi for a new Star Wars project.

## Intelligence Brief
Ewan McGregor has expressed a strong desire to return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi within the Star Wars franchise. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter and IGN, the actor is actively seeking another movie or television series centered on the legendary character. McGregor has used direct language to signal his availability, stating that he is ready to return to the role. Yahoo reports that McGregor has specifically pressed the studio by saying, "Come on, Disney!" while noting that the studio currently seems not to be ready to move forward with a new project featuring the character. Coverage of this development is widespread across entertainment news outlets. IGN describes the actor as practically begging Disney for the opportunity, while Pajiba frames the pursuit in terms of the actor seeking more money from the franchise.

Collider highlights that this return would bring back one of the most legendary characters in the series. Fantha Tracks provides specific details regarding the narrative McGregor wishes to explore, noting that the actor wants to tell the story of everything that occurs between the end of the Obi-Wan TV series and the era depicted by Alec Guinness. The context of these requests centers on the chronological gaps in the Star Wars timeline. By targeting the period between his previous series and the original film appearances of Alec Guinness, McGregor is proposing a narrative bridge that has not yet been fully explored on screen. This movement comes as Disney continues to determine its next big Star Wars story, as mentioned by Collider. The actor's public pressure suggests a disconnect between his readiness to perform and the studio's current production timeline or creative strategy.

Future developments will depend on whether Disney responds to McGregor's public appeals. The primary point of interest is whether the studio will approve a new movie or a television series to fill the specific story gap McGregor identified. While the actor has expressed his eagerness and willingness to return, coverage does not yet specify if any formal negotiations are underway or if a script is currently in development. Observers will be monitoring Disney's upcoming production announcements to see if the studio is finally ready to bring the character back.
