## Intelligence Brief
Walt Disney World is introducing a new themed land called Monstropolis at Disney's Hollywood Studios. According to reports from Variety and People.com, this expansion is scheduled to open in 2027. The land will include a wide variety of attractions and services, most notably a 'Monsters, Inc.' Door Coaster. Coverage from wdwnt.com provides a first look at the coaster's launch sequence and load area, while WDW News Today confirms that more of the coaster's track has arrived at the current construction site. This development represents a significant addition to the park's existing infrastructure and themed offerings. Multiple outlets have emphasized the specific amenities that will be available to guests within the new zone.

WDW Info reports that the land will feature a new show and a dining location known as Harryhausen’s. Furthermore, wdwnt.com has issued a breaking report stating that all shopping and dining venues for Monstropolis have now been officially announced. The Disney Tourist Blog highlights that the 2027 opening date represents a move up in the timeline for the land's completion. The level of detail provided across these sources indicates a comprehensive rollout of the land's thematic elements. The background for these announcements is tied to the D23 event, where People.com notes that every detail regarding the project was revealed. This event serves as the primary source for the specific attraction names and the overall scope of the Monstropolis project.

The integration of a themed land based on the 'Monsters, Inc.' franchise suggests a strategic focus on expanding the intellectual property presence within the Hollywood Studios park. The transition from construction to a confirmed opening window allows for more specific planning regarding the visitor experience. Observers should now look toward the ongoing physical development at the Hollywood Studios construction site. As WDW News Today continues to track the arrival of the Door Coaster track, the pace of construction will be a primary indicator of the 2027 timeline. Future updates are expected to detail the specific menus at Harryhausen’s and the inventories of the announced shopping venues. Coverage does not yet specify the exact date in 2027 for the grand opening, but the arrival of hardware suggests the project is moving into a more advanced phase of implementation.
