## Executive Summary
Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will voice lead characters in a reimagined Carousel of Progress, set to debut in late spring 2027.

## Intelligence Brief
Disney World has announced a comprehensive reimagining of the Carousel of Progress attraction. According to reports from WDW News Today and the Disney Tourist Blog, high-profile actors Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston have been cast as the voices for the Mom and Dad characters. The updated experience will feature a newly revealed scene set in the 1980s. Coverage from the Disney Tourist Blog and WDWMagic emphasizes the specific timeline for the attraction's return. Guests can expect the reimagined show to officially reopen during the late spring of 2027.

The Disney Parks Blog focused heavily on the promotional aspects of the announcement, highlighting the epic opening number performed by Neil Patrick Harris to kick off the experience showcase. ABC30 Fresno also confirmed the presence of Harris at the event, noting his role in the initial performance that introduced the updated attraction to the public. The transition to the name Horizons: A Carousel of Progress suggests a connection to previous themed elements within the park, though the primary focus of current reports is the updated character casting. By bringing in Curtis and Cranston, Disney is updating the central family dynamic of the ride. The addition of the 1980s scene expands the historical progression of the attraction's narrative, filling a chronological gap in the storytelling that had been previously absent from the classic version of the ride.

Looking forward, attendees will be watching for the formal opening season in 2027. Based on the reporting from WDWMagic, the late spring window is the target for the general public to experience the new scenes and voice acting. Further details regarding the specific plot points of the 1980s sequence or additional casting beyond Curtis and Cranston have not yet been specified in the current coverage, leaving the remaining production details to be revealed closer to the launch date.
