The match resulted in a heavy loss that matched an unwanted one hundred and twenty-year record for the club, prompting the manager to admit that the team must improve significantly right on the eve of the new Premier League season. According to reporting from Goal.com, the fixture proved to be a debut to forget for the incoming manager.
