## Executive Summary
Cameroon secures the Women's Africa Cup of Nations 2026 title with a dominant 3-0 victory over Malawi in a historic final.

## Intelligence Brief
Cameroon has emerged as the champion of the TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2026 after defeating Malawi with a final score of 3-0. The championship match took place on a Sunday night, marking the culmination of the tournament held in Morocco. According to reporting from the BBC, Cameroon maintained a clean sheet while scoring three goals to secure the victory over their opponents from Malawi. This result establishes Cameroon as the top women's football team in Africa for the 2026 cycle. The event received significant international attention and expanded distribution.

According to cafonline.com, the final was historic because it was broadcast live for the first time in the United Kingdom and other global territories. The New York Times provided extensive coverage leading up to the match, offering live updates, the latest team news, and predictions for the clash between Cameroon and Malawi. The scale of the broadcast indicates a strategic effort to increase the visibility of the tournament on a global stage. Beyond the final match, the tournament has highlighted the personal stakes and aspirations of the players involved. GhanaSoccernet reported on the experiences of Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, a star for the Black Queens.

Boye-Hlorkah spoke openly about her frustrations regarding the WAFCON experience but emphasized that she is not giving up on her dream of competing in the World Cup. This context underscores the pressure and emotional weight associated with the tournament as players use it as a stepping stone for global competition. Moving forward, the focus shifts to the aftermath of Cameroon's victory and the implications for the players who did not reach the final. While Cameroon celebrates its 3-0 win, athletes like Boye-Hlorkah continue to pursue World Cup qualification. The coverage suggests that the expanded global broadcasting reach established during this Morocco 2026 final may set a precedent for how future Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournaments are distributed to audiences in the UK and other international markets.
