What Taylor Sheridan's biggest stars really think about working with the 'Yellowstone' creator

Recent reports focus on the professional relationship between creator Taylor Sheridan and the actors who populate his expanding television universe. Much of the current discourse centers on Michael Kelly, a star of the series Lioness, who has offered high praise for Sheridan's capabilities. According to reporting from Fox News and Yahoo News Canada, Kelly describes Sheridan as one of the smartest individuals one could ever meet. The coverage highlights a positive dynamic between the creator and his cast, emphasizing the specific respect Kelly holds for the writer's creative process and his standing within the modern entertainment industry. Multiple outlets, including People.com and 930 WFMD Free Talk, have amplified Kelly's specific testimonials. The actor explicitly identifies Sheridan as one of the greatest storytellers currently active in the entertainment field.

These reports suggest that Kelly believes nobody else in the industry is performing the type of work that Sheridan is currently doing. The consistent messaging across these sources paints a picture of a creator who is deeply admired by his lead performers for his intellectual approach to narrative construction and his ability to manage complex, interconnected stories. Context for these discussions is provided by Country Living Magazine, which notes a recurring pattern in Sheridan's casting choices. The publication identifies a group of 24 actors whom the Yellowstone creator continues to hire across his various projects. This tendency to reuse a specific pool of talent suggests a high level of trust and a collaborative shorthand between Sheridan and his preferred performers. This recurring casting strategy underscores the scale of the Sheridan universe, which spans multiple series and involves a consistent ensemble of actors moving between different roles and stories.

Looking forward, attention is turning toward the potential for expansion and connectivity between these projects. According to IMDb, the possibility of crossovers between Lioness and other Taylor Sheridan series has been addressed by the cast. While the coverage does not specify the exact nature of these potential crossovers, the fact that they are being discussed indicates that the Sheridan universe may continue to integrate its various storylines. Observers are monitoring how these different series will interact and whether the creator will further utilize his recurring cast of 24 actors in future narrative arcs.
