## Executive Summary
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is expanding its retro beat-'em-up experience with a Doctor Doom-themed DLC expansion arriving in Fall 2026.

## Intelligence Brief
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is preparing to launch a new downloadable content expansion titled The Siege of Castle Doom. According to reports from Games Press, this upcoming addition to the game will introduce the character Doctor Doom, who was featured in a recently released teaser image. The DLC is scheduled for release during the Fall 2026 window and will be available across multiple platforms, specifically targeting both PC and consoles. This addition marks a significant content update for the title as it brings a fearsome antagonist into the game's active roster. Coverage of the announcement has been widespread across several gaming and technology outlets.

Polygon.com characterizes the game as a retro beat-'em-up and notes that the Doomsday-themed content arrives later this year. Other publications, including Game Informer, Nintendo Life, and Nintendo Everything, have corroborated the details regarding the Doctor Doom DLC. These outlets emphasize the timing of the launch and the specific focus on the Siege of Castle Doom narrative, highlighting the anticipation surrounding the introduction of this iconic villain to the Cosmic Invasion ecosystem. Contextually, the timing of this release is linked to broader trends. Nintendo Life explicitly mentions that the game is getting in on the current Doomsday hype, suggesting that the DLC is strategically timed to align with external cultural or media interests in the character of Doctor Doom.

By utilizing a retro beat-'em-up style, as noted by Polygon.com, the developers are integrating these high-stakes cosmic themes into a specific nostalgic gameplay format. The expansion represents an effort to sustain player engagement by adding high-profile characters and new environments like Castle Doom. Moving forward, players and industry observers will be monitoring the Fall 2026 release window for the official deployment of the content on PC and consoles. While the teaser image has already provided a first look at Doctor Doom, further details regarding gameplay mechanics or specific story beats for The Siege of Castle Doom have not yet been detailed in the current coverage. The focus remains on the upcoming launch date and the cross-platform availability of the expansion as the year progresses.
