## Executive Summary
Former Rockstar developers are urging gamers to purchase Grand Theft Auto 6 while funding their ongoing legal battles via T-shirt sales.

## Intelligence Brief
Former developers at Rockstar who have been fired are publicly addressing the gaming community regarding the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Rather than encouraging a boycott of the title, these displaced workers are explicitly asking players not to boycott the game. This request marks a distinct approach to labor disputes within the gaming industry, where consumers often lean toward boycotting products to show solidarity with workers. Coverage of this development has been reported by both Kotaku and TheGamer.

These outlets highlight the specific messaging from the former staff, emphasizing the call for players to separate the act of buying the game from the act of supporting the workers' legal struggle. The reports focus on the direct appeal made by the fired developers to those who may have been planning a boycott of GTA 6. This situation arises against a backdrop of tension between Rockstar and its former staff members. The context provided by the reports establishes that these individuals were terminated from their positions, leading to a legal conflict that requires funding.

The significance of this request lies in the high anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6, a title with massive commercial expectations. The workers' decision to discourage a boycott suggests a strategic choice to avoid interfering with the product's launch while still seeking justice and financial resources for their legal proceedings against the company. Coverage will likely follow whether these sales provide sufficient resources for the legal battle and how Rockstar responds to the public appeals from its former developers. Because the reports focus on the request to buy the game and support the legal fund simultaneously, future updates will likely center on the progress of the legal case and the effectiveness of the alternative support method proposed by the fired workers.
