> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-08-18 15:07 UTC · Category: Entertainment

## Executive Summary
Sebastian Stan has officially confirmed he will portray Harvey Dent in 'The Batman Part II' amid discussions regarding his Marvel projects.

## Intelligence Brief
Actor Sebastian Stan has confirmed his casting in the upcoming film 'The Batman Part II'. According to reports from World of Reel and The Playlist, Stan specifically confirmed that he will be taking on the role of Harvey Dent, the character known as Two-Face. This announcement arrives as the actor addresses his involvement in both DC and Marvel cinematic universes, providing clarity on a role that had previously been characterized as a mystery. The confirmation settles speculation regarding which character Stan would portray in the sequel to the first Batman film. Coverage of the announcement has been widespread across several entertainment outlets.

Forbes and Esquire both report that Stan has finally confirmed his role in the production. However, Cosmopolitan notes that while the confirmation has occurred, something about the situation feels off. The reporting highlights a duality in Stan's current professional updates, as he is simultaneously discussing his work with DC and his experience as a cast member in the Marvel Studios production 'Avengers: Doomsday'. Context for this news includes Stan's comments on the production environment at Marvel. Both The Playlist and World of Reel report that Stan stated the cast for 'Avengers: Doomsday' was kept in the dark, noting specifically that they did not have a script.

This contrast between his confirmed role in 'The Batman Part II' and the lack of a full script for his Marvel project provides a glimpse into the different operational styles of the two major comic book film franchises as they move forward with their respective schedules. Observers will be monitoring further details regarding 'The Batman Part II' now that the identity of Harvey Dent has been established. Future updates are expected to clarify the specific plot integration of the Two-Face character. Additionally, the coverage indicates that further news regarding the script status and casting secrets of 'Avengers: Doomsday' remains a point of interest, given Stan's claims that the ensemble remained uninformed about the narrative specifics of that project.
