## Executive Summary
Warhammer 40,000 introduces the 11th Edition Codex system featuring price reductions and new Ork-themed expansions.

## Intelligence Brief
Games Workshop has unveiled the structure and rollout of the 11th Edition Codex for Warhammer 40,000. According to an official announcement from Warhammer Community titled "Anatomy of an 11th Edition Codex," the company is detailing how these core rulebooks for specific army factions are designed. Alongside this systemic update, Warhammer Community has confirmed that a new Orks Codex is being released, with exclusive content regarding the volume being hosted on Warhammer TV. These updates mark a transition in how faction-specific rules and lore are delivered to the player base for the current edition of the game. Coverage from GameFragger.com highlights a significant change in the economic accessibility of these products, reporting that the new Codexes are becoming a third cheaper than previous iterations. This pricing shift is a central point of the current discourse surrounding the 11th Edition launch.

Meanwhile, Bell of Lost Souls is focusing on the hobby aspect of the Ork expansion, reporting on the release of a new multi-part Ork Boyz kit. This kit allows players to "mob up" by providing various assembly options for the infantry units, complementing the new rules found within the 11th Edition framework. This development is significant because Codexes serve as the primary source of rules, strategies, and background narrative for individual armies in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The shift to an 11th Edition implies a broader overhaul of the game's mechanical balance and structural organization. By combining a price reduction for the rulebooks with new physical miniatures and digital exclusive content on Warhammer TV, the publisher is utilizing a multi-platform approach to launch the new edition. The focus on the Ork faction suggests they are a primary priority for the initial wave of 11th Edition content.

Future developments to monitor include the rollout of additional faction Codexes beyond the Orks and the specific content delivery on Warhammer TV. Observers will be watching to see if the one-third price reduction mentioned by GameFragger.com remains consistent across all subsequent 11th Edition releases. Additionally, the integration of the multi-part Ork Boyz kit into the new 11th Edition ruleset will provide insight into how the game handles unit customization and army composition moving forward. Coverage does not yet specify the release dates for other army Codexes within this edition.
