## Executive Summary
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 enters its open beta phase amid news of the franchise's debut on the Nintendo Switch 2.

## Intelligence Brief
The gaming community is currently focusing on the launch of the Call of Duty: MW4 open beta. According to coverage from Pure Xbox, information has been released regarding the specific start times, the dates for the beta period, and the detailed instructions on how users can download the client to participate in the testing phase. This open beta allows players to access a portion of the upcoming title before its official commercial release, providing a window for technical testing and gameplay familiarity. Pure Xbox is actively providing the logistical details necessary for players to join the beta, specifically focusing on the download process and the timing of the event.

Meanwhile, Wccftech is reporting on a significant platform expansion for the series, noting that Call of Duty has finally arrived on the Switch 2. This deployment is the result of a ten-year deal between Microsoft and Nintendo, marking a major shift in the availability of the franchise across different hardware ecosystems. This trend is particularly significant because it highlights the intersection of a new title's launch cycle with a historic cross-platform agreement. Wccftech emphasizes that this is the first time the franchise has landed on a Nintendo console following the decade-long partnership.

This context explains why there is heightened interest in the current beta, as the series expands its reach to a new user base on the Switch 2 platform while simultaneously preparing for the full launch of Modern Warfare 4. Future attention will likely be directed toward the performance of the game on various systems. Wccftech notes that early testers of the Switch 2 port have expressed disappointment, suggesting that the technical execution of the port is a point of contention. Observers will be watching to see if the feedback from the MW4 open beta leads to adjustments, and how the reported disappointments regarding the Switch 2 version are addressed by the developers as the release window approaches.
