Danielle Fishel expresses frustration over the direction of 'Girl Meets World,' claiming she was promised the show would not be a 'Boy Meets World' reboot.

## Intelligence Brief
Danielle Fishel has spoken out regarding her experience working on the series 'Girl Meets World,' describing the process as really frustrating. According to reports from AOL.com and Entertainment Weekly, Fishel states that she was promised that the production would not serve as a reboot of the original 'Boy Meets World' series. This conflict centers on the creative direction of the show, which Fishel believes tried too hard to emulate the predecessor. This sentiment is echoed in coverage from IMDb, which reports that 'Boy Meets World' stars have criticized the 'Girl Meets World' pilot, questioning what was being done with the legacy of the original show. Multiple outlets, including Decider, The News International, and Entertainment Weekly, are highlighting Fishel's recent comments as a bombshell revelation regarding the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the production.

The coverage emphasizes her feelings of frustration and the perceived breach of promises regarding the show's identity. While some outlets focus on the creative disputes over the reboot nature of the series, others are linking these professional frustrations to a broader narrative of personal struggle. The consensus across these reports is that the tension stems from a desire to protect the legacy of the original program while navigating the expectations of a spin-off. Adding a layer of personal context to these professional grievances, reports from Us Weekly, Yahoo, and Cinemablend reveal that Fishel went through a difficult period following the conclusion of 'Boy Meets World.' Fishel described this time as not a fun year, characterizing it as an absolutely terrible place to be. Specifically, Us Weekly reports that she had a rough time after leaving an unhealthy relationship around the time the original series ended.

This background provides a window into the emotional state of the actress during the transition between the two shows, suggesting a period of significant personal instability that coincided with the end of her initial long-term role. Future attention will likely remain on the reactions of other 'Boy Meets World' alumni following the criticism of the 'Girl Meets World' pilot. Based on the reports from IMDb, there is an ongoing conversation among the original stars regarding the preservation of the show's legacy. Observers will be looking for further comments from the cast or production team regarding the specific promises made to Fishel and others about the nature of the reboot. The coverage currently establishes a clear rift between the original vision promised to the actors and the final execution of the spin-off series.
