## Executive Summary
The CW network has abruptly canceled the upcoming broadcasts of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants just days before their scheduled air dates.

## Intelligence Brief
The CW network has officially dropped the broadcasts for both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. This decision comes just one week before the events were scheduled to air on television. The cancellation affects two major pageant properties simultaneously, removing their planned presence from the network's broadcasting schedule during a critical window immediately preceding the events. This sudden shift leaves the scheduled air dates vacant on the network's calendar. Coverage of the cancellation has been widespread across entertainment and business news outlets.

The Hollywood Reporter, Business Insider, and People.com all reported that the network dropped the Miss USA pageant specifically one week before the airing. Deadline further expanded the scope of the news, noting that both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants were dropped by The CW days before they were set to air. Yahoo also confirmed that the broadcasts for both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA events have been canceled by the network. The context of this trend centers on the timing of the network's decision. Because the move occurred a week before the scheduled television appearances, the pageants lost their primary broadcast partner at the final stage of production and promotion.

The removal of both the adult and teen competitions suggests a broader shift in network programming or a total severance of the relationship between The CW and the pageant organizers right before the events were to reach a national television audience. Future developments will likely center on whether the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organizations find an alternative broadcasting partner or pivot to a different distribution method. Since the coverage does not specify the reason for the cancellation or the current status of the pageant events themselves, the primary point of interest is the immediate void left by The CW's decision. Observers will be watching for statements from the pageants regarding how the competitions will now be viewed by the public.
