## Executive Summary
President Zelensky confirms Ukrainian drone strikes targeting an oil refinery and an Ozon logistics warehouse within Russian territory.

## Intelligence Brief
Ukrainian forces have conducted overnight drone strikes targeting critical infrastructure and commercial facilities in Russia. According to reports from Ukrinform and the Kyiv Post, the attacks successfully hit the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery and a warehouse belonging to the Russian online retailer Ozon. The Kyiv Independent reports that both the major oil refinery and the logistics center were set ablaze during the operation, marking a coordinated effort to disrupt Russian industrial and commercial assets. Coverage from multiple outlets emphasizes the novelty and scale of these targets. Українська правда reports that this operation marks the first time Ukrainian forces have struck an Ozon logistics hub, noting that the attack caused a major fire at the facility. Reuters further confirms that the drones hit the warehouse of the online retailer in the overnight strikes.

The Kyiv Post specifically identifies the location of these targets as being within the Samara Region, providing geographic context to the strikes on the Novokuibyshevsk refinery and the Ozon distribution hub. This event is significant because it demonstrates a shift or expansion in the types of targets being engaged by Ukrainian forces. While oil refineries have been previous targets, the inclusion of a logistics hub for a major online retailer like Ozon indicates a focus on commercial supply chains. The reported fire at the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery highlights ongoing efforts to degrade Russian energy infrastructure, while the hit on the Ozon warehouse suggests an intent to disrupt the domestic retail and delivery systems used within the Russian Federation. Future developments will likely depend on the extent of the damage reported by Russian authorities and any subsequent responses.

Observers will be watching for confirmation of the operational status of the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery following the fire. Additionally, given that Українська правда highlighted the first-time nature of the attack on Ozon logistics, further reports may emerge regarding whether other commercial hubs are being targeted. Coverage will continue to track the impact of these strikes on Russian energy production and regional logistics in the Samara Region.
