## Executive Summary
Original cast members of Boy Meets World are publicly criticizing the Girl Meets World pilot and its impact on the franchise legacy.

## Intelligence Brief
Cast members from the original Boy Meets World series have expressed strong disapproval regarding the pilot of the spinoff series Girl Meets World. According to reports from TVLine, the actors questioned the direction of the project, specifically asking, 'What are you doing with the legacy of this show?' The criticism extends to the initial pitching process for the spinoff. Coverage from Yahoo and Cinemablend highlights a particularly negative experience during the pitch meeting, with stars recalling a chaotic environment and noting that 'he was screaming' during the presentation. Multiple outlets, including Yahoo and AOL.com, emphasize a specific dynamic between the spinoff's stars.

The Boy Meets World cast has stated that Sabrina Carpenter 'overshadowed' the lead star of the series, Rowan Blanchard. This sentiment is echoed by Happy Mag, which describes the 'biggest issue' with Girl Meets World as the fact that Sabrina Carpenter was simply 'too good' for the role, suggesting her performance created an imbalance within the show's lead dynamic. Further context regarding the production's long-term reception is provided by IMDb, which reports that Danielle Fishel felt frustrated by the outcome of the series. Fishel's frustration stems from the belief that Girl Meets World failed to successfully escape the shadow of the original show.

This indicates a perceived struggle to establish a unique identity for the spinoff while remaining tethered to the legacy of the predecessor, a tension that seems to have existed since the project's inception. Future developments to monitor involve whether further cast members will speak on the creative decisions behind the pilot or the specific identity of the individual who was screaming during the pitch meeting, as coverage does not yet specify that person's name. The focus remains on the divide between the original cast's vision for the franchise and the execution of the spinoff as described in these reports from TVLine, Cinemablend, and Yahoo.
