## Executive Summary
Dozens of bombings, arsons and IED blasts strike Thailand’s deep south, prompting curfews and a prime‑ministerial security summit.

## Intelligence Brief
Thai PBS World called them “scores of attacks,” while NST Online logged 51 incidents, including IED strikes. Al Jazeera recorded three wounded; CNA noted two injuries, and Bangkok Post confirmed two injured in Narathiwat. South China Morning Post said explosions near the border shook Malaysian villages, though The Star said no Malaysians were harmed. Bangkok Post ran two stories on the continuing bombings and arson, and on bomb blasts in Narathiwat that left two injured. Thai PBS World highlighted Yala as the hardest‑hit province.

Nation Thailand reported a curfew in Narathiwat after the attacks. The southern provinces have long been a flashpoint of separatist unrest, with insurgent activity targeting civilians and commercial assets. The concentration of bombings, arson and IEDs on a single day marks an escalation in scale and coordination, prompting curfews and senior security meetings. Eurasian Review warned of economic damage to trade and tourism, while South China Morning Post’s border reports add a regional dimension, even as The Star confirmed no cross‑border injuries. Future coverage will watch for official statements on investigations, arrests or expanded security measures beyond the curfew.

Follow‑up reports may show whether the prime minister’s meetings generate new directives or legislation. Updated casualty figures could reconcile the differing injury counts from Al Jazeera, CNA and Bangkok Post. Monitoring border activity will remain key, given the tremors reported in Malaysian villages, to assess any spill‑over effects.
