## Executive Summary
Disney and the NFL have launched a massive cross-brand collaboration pairing iconic characters with all 32 professional football teams.

## Intelligence Brief
Disney has announced a comprehensive NFL crossover event that assigns iconic characters to every one of the 32 teams in the league. This initiative involves a specialized apparel collection created in partnership with Champion. According to coverage from SB Nation, the crossover integrates characters from across the Disney ecosystem into the sports world. A specific example of this pairing was highlighted by WTAE, which reported that the character Pete has been assigned to the Pittsburgh Steelers, with the character described as being 'blue-collar' and 'tough' to match the team's identity. The scope of the collection is broad, incorporating a wide array of intellectual properties. USA Today reports that the Disney x NFL collection will feature characters from Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, ensuring a diverse range of appeal for different fanbases.

Sports Illustrated has further detailed the breadth of the 'Disney NFL Draft,' noting that the character pairings range from the Marvel villain Thanos to the classic character Pluto. The reporting emphasizes that the draft encompasses the entire league, ensuring no team is left without a representative character. This partnership arrives as a coordinated effort to merge entertainment branding with professional sports merchandise. The collaboration with Champion indicates a focus on athletic wear and apparel. For fans of the league and Disney's various cinematic universes, this means the availability of themed gear that blends team loyalty with character fandom. The integration of high-profile franchises like Star Wars and Marvel suggests a strategic attempt to capture a wide demographic of consumers through the use of established, globally recognized figures.

Looking forward, the primary focus for consumers is the official release of the merchandise. Florida Today reports that the Disney-NFL apparel collection is scheduled to drop next week. Coverage does not specify the exact time of the launch, but it confirms that fans will be able to shop for the collection starting at that time. Future updates are expected to provide more specific details on where the apparel will be available for purchase and whether additional character reveals will occur beyond the initial 32-team draft.
