## Executive Summary
The classic title Terranigma is returning in 2027 across a wide array of modern consoles and PC platforms.

## Intelligence Brief
The video game Terranigma has been officially announced for a wide-scale release scheduled for 2027. According to reporting from Gematsu, the title is coming to a comprehensive list of hardware, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, the Nintendo Switch 2, the PlayStation 4, the original Nintendo Switch, and PC. This announcement marks the return of a title originally associated with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, as noted in coverage from Time Extension, which highlighted the game during its Random Game Saturday feature. Significant coverage of this announcement is appearing across several industry outlets. Gematsu provided the most detailed list of supported platforms, while Nintendo Everything specifically focused on the game's availability for both the current Nintendo Switch and the successor hardware referred to as the Switch 2.

Additionally, RPGFan has confirmed the 2027 timeframe for the game's return. The announcement was tied to a specific event, as Push Square provided a live stream link for the Pixel Arcadia Retro Game Livestream, where Terranigma was featured. To understand the context of this trend, readers should note that Terranigma was originally a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) title. The current interest stems from the transition of this retro property into the modern gaming ecosystem. The inclusion of both current-generation consoles and future hardware, such as the Switch 2, indicates a broad distribution strategy designed to reach multiple generations of hardware users simultaneously across the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo ecosystems.

Future developments will likely center on further details emerging from the Pixel Arcadia Retro Game Livestream and subsequent updates from the named outlets. Observers should watch for specific release dates within the 2027 window and additional information regarding the version of the game being ported. While the platforms are confirmed by Gematsu and Nintendo Everything, further technical specifications for the PC and console versions have not yet been detailed in the provided coverage.
