> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-08-25 14:07 UTC · Category: Sports

## Executive Summary
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the high-profile acquisition of Savinho from Manchester City, sparking significant debate over the final transfer valuation.

## Intelligence Brief
Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of Savinho, moving the player from Manchester City. While the completion of the deal is undisputed across all reports, the specific financial terms of the agreement vary by source. The player, referred to as Savinho or Sávio in the reporting, has now formally joined the Spurs squad after departing the Manchester City roster. Coverage from major news outlets emphasizes the scale of the transaction, though they differ on the exact price tag.

The New York Times reports that the deal is valued at £85 million, while The Guardian provides a lower figure, stating that Savinho sealed the move for £75 million. ESPN and the blog Cartilage Free Captain both confirm that the signing is complete, while the BBC includes the move as a primary update within their broader transfer latest reporting, which also monitors other players such as Carlos Baleba, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Ollie Watkins. This move is significant as it involves a direct transfer of talent between two major English top-flight competitors. The disparity in reported figures between The New York Times and The Guardian suggests a gap of £10 million in the perceived valuation of the player.

The timing of the announcement comes during a period of intense transfer market activity, as indicated by the BBC's aggregation of various rumours and gossip involving several other high-profile athletes currently under scrutiny by clubs across the league. Future developments to watch include the official confirmation of the final fee to resolve the discrepancies between reporting outlets. Observers will be monitoring how Savinho integrates into the Tottenham squad following his departure from Manchester City. Additionally, coverage suggests that the transfer window remains active, as the BBC continues to track the status of other potential moves involving Ollie Watkins, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Carlos Baleba alongside the now-completed Savinho transaction.
