## Executive Summary
The Los Angeles Rams are preparing dual roster contingencies as star player Aaron Donald remains undecided on his return to the team.

## Intelligence Brief
The Los Angeles Rams are currently navigating a period of uncertainty regarding the status of Aaron Donald. According to reporting from NBC Sports, the organization is actively preparing for their 53-player rosters under two different scenarios: one that includes Donald and one that does not. This preparation comes as Donald continues to conduct workouts with the team, as detailed by ESPN, while a final decision on his availability looms. The team is effectively hedging its bets to ensure operational readiness regardless of the outcome of Donald's decision. Coverage of the situation is widespread across major sports media outlets.

NFL.com reports that head coach Sean McVay has explicitly developed plans for the Rams to function both if Aaron Donald is present and if he is not. Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports has highlighted a personal dimension to the story, reporting on the reaction of Aaron Donald's wife to claims suggesting the Rams legend is demanding more money in order to return to the field. Further analysis on the situation has been provided by Rams Wire, where an NFL analyst has offered a fresh perspective on the potential timeline regarding Donald's decision. This situation is critical for the Rams because of Donald's status as a franchise legend and his impact on the defensive side of the ball. The necessity of creating two separate roster blueprints underscores the significant gap in team capability between having Donald available and having to rely on other personnel.

The public discourse has been complicated by financial speculation, though the coverage from Yahoo Sports focuses specifically on the family's reaction to claims about monetary demands rather than confirming any actual contract negotiations taking place at this time. Moving forward, the primary focus remains on the finality of Aaron Donald's decision. Stakeholders and fans are watching to see if the continued workouts mentioned by ESPN lead to a formal commitment to the team. Additionally, the timeline suggested by the analyst cited by Rams Wire will be a key indicator of when the team must commit to one of the two 53-player roster paths. The Rams' ability to execute Sean McVay's alternative plans will be tested if the star defender does not return to the active roster.
