## Executive Summary
Speculation intensifies over the iPhone 18 Pro and a potential foldable device following Apple's announcement of a September 9 keynote event.

## Intelligence Brief
Apple has confirmed a keynote event scheduled for September 9, according to reports from Forbes and MacRumors. This event, described by AppleInsider as the 'Surprise and shine' iPhone 18 Pro event, is generating significant anticipation regarding new hardware. While the primary focus remains on the iPhone 18 Pro series, MacRumors reports that the official event logo contains hints suggesting two specific new features for the Pro models. Additionally, AppleInsider notes that attendees going to the event can participate in a 'Welcome Run'. Coverage across several technology outlets emphasizes a range of rumored product launches.

MacRumors expects a total of six new products to be unveiled on September 9. There is substantial debate regarding the introduction of an 'iPhone Ultra' model, a discussion fueled by Apple's Chinese event tagline as reported by AppleInsider. Furthermore, The Commercial Appeal and Yahoo are highlighting the possibility of Apple unveiling its first foldable iPhone, noting that the company is preparing for such a launch under its new CEO. Contextual analysis from CNET and bgr.com suggests potential shifts in Apple's release strategy. CNET reports that Apple might skip the standard iPhone 18 this year, raising questions about the value and longevity of the iPhone 17.

This possibility has led bgr.com to suggest that current iPhone 17 pricing may soon appear as a great deal. Meanwhile, Cult of Mac and 9to5Mac are focusing on the rumored changes and specific upgrades that distinguish the iPhone 18 Pro from the iPhone 17 Pro, with Sportskeeda Tech reporting that specifications for both the Pro series and the Ultra have leaked. Observers are now watching for the official September 9 keynote to verify these leaks and rumors. Key points of interest include the confirmation of the iPhone 18 Pro's new features hinted at in the logo and the verification of whether a foldable iPhone or an iPhone Ultra will be introduced. CNET also notes that consumers may be waiting longer than expected for the actual release date of the iPhone 18, making the upcoming schedule confirmed by Forbes a critical detail for prospective buyers.
