## Executive Summary
Samsung has unveiled its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026, headlined by a G6 model featuring a 1,100Hz refresh rate.

## Intelligence Brief
Samsung has officially revealed its full gaming monitor lineup for 2027 during the Gamescom 2026 event. The most prominent addition to the Odyssey series is the new G6 model, which achieves a refresh rate of 1,100Hz when operating at a resolution of 720p. Along with the G6, the company has introduced several other OLED options to the Odyssey family, specifically the G9, G8, and G7 models. These announcements mark a significant push into ultra-high refresh rate territory for the hardware manufacturer. Coverage from several technology and lifestyle outlets emphasizes the extreme specifications of the G6.

Tom's Hardware describes the 1,100Hz refresh rate as ridiculous, while Hypebeast highlights the reveal of the comprehensive 2027 lineup. Mashable provides a clear breakdown of the models involved, confirming the presence of the OLED G9, G8, G7, and G6. Additionally, TFTCentral reports on the broader unveiling at Gamescom 2026 and has already published a specific review focused on the Samsung Odyssey G80HS model. This development is significant because it pushes the boundaries of display speed beyond standard gaming requirements. The focus on a 720p resolution for the G6 suggests a trade-off between pixel density and the ability to maintain a 1,100Hz refresh rate.

By presenting these monitors at Gamescom, Samsung is positioning its 2027 hardware directly for the competitive gaming market. The inclusion of various G-series tiers indicates a strategy to cover multiple price points and performance levels using OLED technology. Future developments to monitor include the full performance analysis of the G80HS as more reviews emerge following the TFTCentral report. Market observers will likely look for information regarding the availability and pricing of the G6, G7, G8, and G9 models across different regions. Since the lineup is designated for 2027, further technical specifications regarding the power requirements and compatibility of the 1,100Hz G6 monitor may be released as the launch date approaches.
