## Executive Summary
AJ Rebollo has quit the band Bad Wolves following a controversy regarding a cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and accusations of label misconduct.

## Intelligence Brief
Guitarist AJ Rebollo has stepped down from the band Bad Wolves amidst a public dispute over the group's upcoming cover of the song "Jolene." According to reports from Page Six and The Music Universe, Rebollo's decision to leave the band is directly tied to the production and release of this specific cover of the Dolly Parton classic. The departure follows the passing of Dolly Parton, an event that has added significant weight to the controversy surrounding the track. Rebollo has explicitly accused the band's record label of acting with "ill intent" regarding the project, as detailed in coverage from Page Six. Multiple music-focused outlets are tracking the internal collapse of the group's lineup. NextMosh reports that Rebollo's exit is the result of label decisions, while The Mosh Network emphasizes that the "Jolene" cover has sparked widespread controversy following the death of Parton.

The reporting highlights a divide between the artistic choices of the band members and the strategic moves of their label. These sources collectively indicate that the timing of the release and the motives behind the label's direction were the primary catalysts for the guitarist's resignation from the ensemble. Context provided by Theprp.com reveals that the upcoming cover of "Jolene" was originally intended to be a collaborative effort that would have featured Dolly Parton herself. Following her passing, the plans for the release shifted. Theprp.com reports that the track will now be released with the proceeds intended to benefit Parton's foundation.

This shift from a live collaboration to a posthumous charity release appears to be the center of the friction between the musician and the label management, raising questions about the nature of the original agreement and the subsequent execution of the project. Looking ahead, the primary focus remains on the eventual release of the "Jolene" cover and the distribution of funds to the designated foundation. While the label's intent remains a point of contention for the departed guitarist, the factual trajectory of the song is now linked to charitable goals. Observers will likely monitor whether other members of Bad Wolves voice support for Rebollo's accusations of ill intent or if the band will move forward with the release as planned. The current status of the band's lineup following Rebollo's departure is a key point of interest for followers of the group.
