## Intelligence Brief
Microsoft has released a new update for Windows 11, identified as KB5120998, which is causing several functional and aesthetic regressions for users. According to coverage from Windows Latest, the update is breaking mouse cursor styling and resetting user wallpapers, among other issues. This has led to direct recommendations for users to skip the installation of today's update to avoid these disruptions to their system customization and interface stability. Detailed reports from TechPowerUp indicate that Microsoft has officially confirmed the issues surrounding the KB5120998 update, specifically acknowledging that it is breaking mouse cursors.
