## Intelligence Brief
AMC Theatres has officially announced the launch of a new movie distribution label named Leawood Films. This strategic venture is designed to bring smaller budget films and independent cinema directly into theaters. The initiative marks a shift for the theater chain as it moves into the distribution side of the industry. This new label will focus specifically on smaller movies, seeking to diversify the types of content available to audiences across its screens. Coverage of the launch is widespread across major entertainment and business outlets.

Bloomberg reports that the distribution arm will focus specifically on smaller budget films.
