## Executive Summary
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta Steam numbers remain stagnant during its second weekend despite the introduction of Warzone and a major patch.

## Intelligence Brief
The open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has entered its second weekend, but recent data indicates that player counts on Steam have not increased. This stagnation persists despite the arrival of the Warzone component and the implementation of a patch described as transformative. The current phase of the beta allows players to access the game and test its systems, while various updates have been rolled out to refine the experience for the PC community. Coverage of the beta's status is led by Eurogamer.net, which specifically highlights that the Steam numbers haven't budged during this second weekend of testing.

Other outlets are focusing on technical optimization and gameplay mechanics; Dot Esports has provided guidance on the best PC graphics settings specifically for the MW4 Warzone beta. Meanwhile, PCMag has published instructions on how users can join the open beta weekend to participate in the testing phase. Context for the current trend includes the introduction of new movement mechanics and weapon optimization. Insider Gaming reports that Modern Warfare 4 has added Tactical Sprint to the Blood Rush mode, adding a layer of mobility to the gameplay.

Additionally, IGN has focused on the competitive meta by detailing the best build and loadout for the M4 weapon, suggesting a shift toward optimizing equipment as the beta progresses toward the full release. Future attention will likely remain on whether the stagnant Steam player numbers shift following the transformative patch and the inclusion of Warzone. Observers are monitoring how the tactical additions, such as the Tactical Sprint in Blood Rush and the specific M4 loadouts highlighted by IGN, impact player retention. The effectiveness of the graphics settings recommended by Dot Esports may also play a role in how the PC community engages with the beta in the coming days.
