## Executive Summary
The Denver Broncos have finalized their 2026 practice squad with 17 player signings following a series of roster adjustments.

## Intelligence Brief
The Denver Broncos have officially announced the formation of their 17-player practice squad for the 2026 season. This development follows a flurry of moves aimed at refining the team's personnel. According to coverage from Yahoo Sports, these updates come alongside the establishment of an updated 53-man active roster. The organization has now locked in the specific group of players who will serve in this developmental and reserve capacity as the team prepares for its upcoming schedule. Reporting on this move has been highlighted by both Yahoo Sports and Mile High Sports, with the latter specifically noting the formal announcement of the 17-player count.

While the Broncos are finalizing their numbers, other NFL teams are undergoing similar transitions. NBC Sports reports that the Los Angeles Rams have also cut their roster down to 53 players. Additionally, the Detroit Lions have been a major focus of current coverage, with reports from Sports Illustrated and Yahoo Sports detailing the revealed makeup of the Lions' practice squad, including the addition of several players previously released by Detroit. This period of roster volatility is a standard part of the NFL calendar where teams must balance their primary 53-man active lists with a practice squad. The stakes involve securing depth and developing talent without occupying a permanent roster spot.

For the Broncos, the move to 17 players provides a structured layer of support. The Lions' situation, as detailed by the Detroit Lions' own breakdown titled TWENTYMAN, underscores the complexity of these decisions, as Yahoo Sports noted that at least one surprising name was missing from the Detroit squad. Looking forward, the focus remains on how these 17 practice squad players for the Denver Broncos will be integrated into team operations. The coverage indicates that the 53-man roster is now set, meaning any further changes to the practice squad will likely involve signings or promotions. Observers will be monitoring whether the Broncos make additional adjustments following the pattern seen with the Lions, who recycled players they had previously released to fill their own practice squad vacancies.
