## Executive Summary
The estate of country music icon Dolly Parton has announced 'Dollyfest,' a star-studded celebration planned for 2027 in Nashville and London.

## Intelligence Brief
The estate of late country music icon Dolly Parton has officially announced the creation of Dollyfest, a two-day festival intended to honor her life and career. According to reports from AP News and WZTV, this announcement follows a private ceremony held for the artist. The celebrations are scheduled to take place in 2027 and will be hosted in Nashville and London. As detailed by the Dolly Parton Official Website, the event is described as a star-studded celebration of a lifetime. These festivals are being organized in accordance with the wishes of the artist, who preferred a large party over a traditional public memorial service. People notes that the estate is following through on her specific vision for how she should be remembered.

Variety and ABC News emphasize the international scale of the tribute, confirming that concerts will be held in both Nashville and London. The reporting from Time focuses on the known details of the festival's planning, framing it as an event that Parton intended to host during her lifetime, which the estate is now executing in her honor. Context provided by the coverage suggests that this transition from a private ceremony to a massive public festival reflects Parton's personal preference for celebration over mourning. Consequence of Sound reports that the estate is honoring her desire for a big party instead of a public memorial. This shift in tradition underscores the icon's personality and her desire for a joyous legacy. The scale of the planned 2027 events indicates a global recognition of her influence, extending beyond her roots in Tennessee to include a major European city.

Looking forward, there are indications that the legacy of the artist may extend to city infrastructure. Yahoo reports that the Nashville airport could potentially bear her name as part of the honors being considered. Future updates are expected regarding the specific lineups for the star-studded concerts and the logistics for the two-day festivals in 2027. While the private ceremony has concluded, the focus now shifts to the organization of these large-scale tributes in the United States and the United Kingdom.
