## Executive Summary
Apple now permits Mac App Store developers to abandon Intel‑based Macs, ending a 21‑year era of dual‑architecture support.

## Intelligence Brief
The notification was reported by 9to5Mac and echoed by MacRumors, indicating that future app updates may ship without Intel binaries. Coverage from PCMag framed the move as the end of a 21‑year partnership that began when Apple made a “massive bet” on Intel processors, a decision described as having “changed everything.” Digital Trends highlighted that Apple has “given developers the green light to leave Intel Macs behind,” while PCMag Australia declared a farewell to the Intel era.

The articles collectively stress the historic nature of the shift. Observers will watch which developers actually drop Intel binaries and how the change affects users who continue to run Intel‑based Macs.

Future reporting may track App Store compliance, potential updates to Apple’s developer guidelines, and any consumer‑impact statements from Apple. The evolution will shape the software landscape for Mac users in the coming months.
