## Executive Summary
Blizzard's StarCraft website malfunctioned ahead of BlizzCon, sparking fan-decoded horror ARGs and rights sale reports.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent coverage from outlets including en.softonic.com, GodisaGeek.com, and Wccftech highlights a developing situation involving Blizzard and the StarCraft franchise just days before the scheduled BlizzCon event. Concurrently, industry reports indicate that Blizzard may have secretly sold the rights to StarCraft, while other coverage specifies that Nexon is reportedly nearing a deal with Blizzard to develop a new entry in the franchise. Additionally, fans examining the website malfunction successfully decoded a hidden horror alternate reality game set in the year 2575. The circulating reports place heavy emphasis on the timing of these events relative to BlizzCon, noting the intersection of technical issues on the franchise website with broader business developments. Coverage from Wccftech details the fan community's rapid response in decoding the hidden 2575 horror ARG embedded within the site's breakdown.

Meanwhile, en.softonic.com and GodisaGeek.com focus on the commercial aspects of the franchise, reporting on the potential sale of rights and the prospective development agreement involving Nexon. These distinct yet simultaneous developments have created a convergence of technical anomalies, fan investigations, and corporate maneuvers captured across all three reporting sources. This activity surrounding the StarCraft intellectual property arrives against the backdrop of long-standing fan anticipation for the franchise and the upcoming BlizzCon showcase. The presence of a hidden ARG suggests an intentional rollout by creators or a sophisticated fan reaction to the sudden website failure, though the exact relationship between the site malfunction and the alleged business transactions remains unclarified in the available reporting. Coverage does not yet specify the full scope of the Nexon agreement or confirm whether the rights sale has been finalized, leaving the ultimate status of the intellectual property open as community speculation builds ahead of the convention.

Observers and fans will be monitoring official announcements during BlizzCon to verify the status of the StarCraft rights, the nature of any agreement with Nexon, and whether developers will address the fan-decoded 2575 horror ARG. Further reporting will be required to establish whether the website breakdown was an intentional teaser for upcoming franchise announcements or an uncoordinated technical failure. Future updates from the reporting outlets will track any official statements from Blizzard regarding the future development direction of the StarCraft universe following these unexpected disclosures.
