New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is sidelined with an ankle injury ahead of the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

## Intelligence Brief
According to NBC Sports, the absence is attributed to an ankle injury. This development comes at a critical juncture for the team as they prepare for their upcoming season opener. The Patriots are scheduled to face the Seattle Seahawks for their first game of the year, and Henderson's status for this specific matchup remains uncertain following his absence from the team's Saturday training session. Multiple media outlets have highlighted the significance of this injury. The Boston Globe reported that Henderson was notably absent from the practice session, while the Boston Herald characterized the news as bad for the team prior to the game in Seattle.

ESPN has focused its coverage on the strategic implications of the injury, questioning what the Patriots' plan of action will be if their running back is unable to play in Week 1. Additionally, the Fantasy Footballers Podcast confirmed that Henderson sat out the Saturday session, emphasizing the impact on player availability. Contextual coverage from Yahoo Sports suggests that Henderson is not the only player facing availability issues. According to their report, several New England Patriots players are currently in jeopardy of missing the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. This indicates a broader trend of injury concerns within the roster.

The loss of a primary running back like Henderson creates a void in the offensive backfield, forcing the coaching staff to consider alternative options for their first professional game of the season. Future developments will center on whether Henderson can recover in time for the Week 1 kickoff. Observers are waiting to see if the Patriots announce official designations for the players currently in jeopardy of missing the game. Coverage continues to monitor the status of Henderson's ankle and how the New England organization will adjust its offensive strategy to compensate for his potential absence. The primary focus remains on the final roster availability reports before the team travels to face the Seahawks.
