## Executive Summary
Iran has released footage purportedly showing missile strikes on US warships while announcing the deployment of new anti-ship missile capabilities.

## Intelligence Brief
Iran has aired footage that purports to show missile strikes conducted against US warships. According to reporting from Middle East Monitor, these visuals are intended to demonstrate the operational capacity of Iranian forces. Simultaneously, multiple sources including Yahoo and Middle East Eye report that Iran claims to have deployed and tested a new anti-ship missile specifically targeting the US Navy. AP News reports that Iranian officials describe this improved ballistic missile technology as a means to take preemptive action against perceived threats. The coverage highlights a specific geopolitical tension involving Jordan.

The Palestine Chronicle reports that Iran has made claims regarding the secret movement of US forces into Jordan's Camp Titin prior to a missile strike. This development is contextualized by The Boston Globe, which notes that Jordan's existing alliance with the United States has effectively made the kingdom a target for Iranian strikes. These reports collectively suggest a strategic shift in how Iran is projecting its military reach within the region. Contextual analysis from 19FortyFive emphasizes a distinction between the act of shooting at an aircraft carrier and the act of successfully hitting one, suggesting that while Iran has developed the ability to execute the former, the latter remains a separate technical challenge. This distinction underscores the high stakes of the current escalation, as Iran explicitly links its missile advancements to a broader strategy of deterrence and preemptive military action against the US Navy and its regional allies.

Future developments to monitor include the verification of the footage aired by Iran and further disclosures regarding the movement of US forces in Jordan. Attention will remain on whether Iran conducts additional tests of the new anti-ship missiles mentioned by Yahoo and Middle East Eye. The situation remains focused on the operational status of Camp Titin and the continued stability of the US-Jordan alliance in the face of Iranian threats as described in the current media coverage.
