## Executive Summary
The mystery of the Manhunter is finally solved in Episode 4 of 'Lanterns', following a shocking fake-out and a major character death.

## Intelligence Brief
The fourth episode of the series 'Lanterns' has introduced a significant plot twist involving the identity of the Manhunter. According to coverage from TVLine, the reveal occurs after a sequence involving a major death, which initially misled viewers. The narrative focuses on the protagonists, John and Hal, who come to the realization of the Manhunter's true identity during the course of the episode. This development serves as the central climax of the latest installment, resolving a mystery that had been building throughout the previous episodes of the season. Media outlets including Vulture, Mashable, and TVLine have all provided detailed recaps of the episode's events.

Vulture's analysis focuses on the specific storytelling beats of the episode under the title 'Draw Me Like One of Your Manhunters.' Meanwhile, Mashable has shifted its focus toward the foreshadowing that led to the reveal, highlighting what they describe as the biggest hints that pointed toward the truth before the official disclosure. TVLine emphasizes the 'fake-out' nature of the episode, specifically how the shock of a character's death played into the eventual discovery made by John and Hal. The context of this trend stems from the anticipation surrounding the Manhunter's identity, which had become a primary point of speculation for the audience. The series has utilized a mystery-driven structure, leading up to this specific reveal in the fourth episode. The stakes are heightened by the inclusion of a major death, an event that the coverage suggests was used as a narrative tool to mask the identity of the antagonist until the final moment of realization for the main characters.

Going forward, viewers and critics will likely analyze how the reveal of the Manhunter affects the trajectory of John and Hal's partnership. Future coverage is expected to explore the fallout of the major death mentioned by TVLine and how the truth about the Manhunter alters the conflict. Because Mashable has already begun dissecting the hints provided in the script, subsequent discussions will likely focus on whether the payoff of the mystery aligns with the expectations set by the early clues provided in the first three episodes.
