## Executive Summary
Ukrainian drone strikes target multiple Russian regions, hitting oil refineries, an airfield, and air defenses.

## Intelligence Brief
According to reporting from UNITED24 Media, Ukrinform, Bloomberg.com, The Kyiv Independent, Meduza, and Українська правда, Ukrainian drone strikes have hit targets deep inside Russia. The Defense Forces and Ukraine's General Staff confirmed operations against oil refineries across three Russian regions, including a major facility in Ryazan that caught fire. Coverage notes that a key gasoline unit was knocked out at the targeted oil refinery, while separate strikes hit an airfield and air defense assets. Reports from Meduza indicate that a strike in Perm resulted in one fatality. Bloomberg.com and UNITED24 Media emphasized the strategic nature of the operation, noting that these drone attacks mark a resumption of Ukrainian strikes targeting oil infrastructure deep within Russian territory.

Outlets such as The Kyiv Independent reported confirmation of the drone blitz directly from Zelensky. Ukrinform and Українська правда detailed the involvement of Ukraine's General Staff in verifying the hits on the Ryazan oil refinery, alongside the simultaneous strikes on air defense assets and military airfields. Context provided across the articles indicates that these coordinated drone attacks represent an escalation in the ongoing conflict, specifically focusing on Russia's petroleum production and refining capacity. Outlets framing the trend point out that previous campaigns targeted similar energy infrastructure, and the current resumption demonstrates sustained capability to strike vital industrial and military targets far from the immediate front lines. The coverage does not yet specify the full extent of the long-term operational impact on Russia's national fuel supply beyond the immediate destruction of the key gasoline unit at Ryazan and the active fires reported at multiple refinery locations.

Future developments will depend on whether additional drone strikes continue against Russian energy facilities and how Russian air defenses respond in the affected regions. Coverage notes the ongoing nature of the defense forces' operations, but does not state specific timelines for subsequent attacks. Readers must monitor upcoming reports from the aforementioned outlets to track the containment of the refinery fires in Ryazan, the restoration timeline of the knocked-out gasoline units, and any official updates regarding casualties or further military responses from either side.
