## Executive Summary
Ukraine's military intelligence reports that units of Russia's 101st Missile Brigade, equipped with Oreshnik missiles, have been deployed to Belarus.

## Intelligence Brief
According to reports from The Kyiv Independent and Ukrinform, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) has identified the deployment of units from Russia's 101st Missile Brigade within the borders of Belarus. These specific units are equipped with Oreshnik missiles. While this deployment represents a significant shift in weaponry presence, the HUR has simultaneously stated that there are currently no signs that Belarus itself is preparing to enter the war directly. The situation centers on the use of Belarusian territory to house advanced Russian strategic assets. Coverage of this development is highlighted by The Kyiv Independent and Ukrinform, which focus on the technical specifics of the 101st Missile Brigade and the Oreshnik systems. Meanwhile, RealClearDefense describes the strategic positioning of Belarus as serving as a spear for Russian interests.

Other outlets, including uatv.ua, report on the possibility that the Kremlin may utilize Belarus as a platform to provoke NATO. The reporting across these diverse sources emphasizes a tension between the physical presence of Russian missiles and the lack of immediate Belarusian military mobilization. Context for this escalation is provided by reports from reform.news and the Belarusian opposition. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's office has addressed statements from Lithuania regarding the military threat emanating from Belarus, noting that they see no contradiction in Lithuania's assessment of the danger. This follows warnings from the Belarusian opposition leader regarding the potential for Russian provocations against NATO originating from Belarusian soil. The strategic importance of this region is underscored by the deployment of high-impact missile systems in close proximity to NATO allies.

Looking forward, observers are monitoring whether the presence of the Oreshnik-equipped units will lead to direct provocations. The reports from uatv.ua and the Belarusian opposition suggest that the primary risk is the Kremlin using Belarus to trigger a confrontation with NATO. While the HUR maintains that Belarus is not yet preparing for entry into the conflict, the deployment of the 101st Missile Brigade creates a new tactical reality. Future developments will likely center on the movements of these missile units and any subsequent reactions from Lithuania and other neighboring NATO member states.
