## Executive Summary
The Los Angeles Rams have officially ruled out star player Aaron Donald for their Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia.

## Intelligence Brief
The Los Angeles Rams have confirmed that Aaron Donald will not participate in the team's season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. This specific game is scheduled to take place in Australia as part of the Week 1 slate. While the Los Angeles Times initially reported that Donald would not say if he would be available for the contest, subsequent updates from NFL.com and NBC Sports have since ruled him out entirely. The absence of the defensive star marks a significant shift in the Rams' roster availability for this international fixture. Extensive coverage of the situation has been provided by several major sports outlets.

NFL.com and NBC Sports both explicitly stated that Donald will not play against the 49ers. Furthermore, ESPN provided additional details regarding the logistics of the situation, reporting that Donald will not be traveling to Australia with the rest of the team. In contrast to Donald's status, ESPN noted that Garrett is considered ready to go for the upcoming game, highlighting a divide in availability among key personnel as the team prepares for the trip. This development is particularly noteworthy given the stakes of a Week 1 matchup against a divisional rival like the San Francisco 49ers. The transition to playing in Australia adds a layer of logistical complexity to the game, and the fact that Donald will not even travel to the continent suggests a total absence from the event.

The coverage emphasizes the definitive nature of the Rams' decision to rule him out, moving from a period of uncertainty to a confirmed status of unavailability for the opener. Observers will now look toward the Rams' defensive strategy in Australia without Donald's presence on the field. While the Los Angeles Times highlighted his earlier hesitation to comment on his status, the current consensus across NFL.com, ESPN, and NBC Sports is that he is out. Attention shifts to those who are traveling and ready, such as Garrett, as the team navigates the challenges of an international season start against a competitive opponent.
