## Executive Summary
Aaron Judge returns to the New York Yankees lineup after a long injury absence, sparking intense discussion.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent sports coverage from outlets including Yahoo Sports, Bleacher Report, Fox News, USA Today, CBS Sports, Pinstripe Alley, and MLB.com details the long-awaited return of Aaron Judge to the New York Yankees lineup following an injury absence. According to reports, Judge returned after missing ninety-nine days due to a rib fracture, playing his first game back in a contest against the Colorado Rockies. During his return, Judge was held hitless across three at-bats after being activated from the injured list. The coverage notes that his comeback involved an early exit from the game, a decision that left the Yankees captain unhappy, with quotes indicating his frustration about playing only half a game and underlying worries that extend beyond just pulling him early. Media reports heavily emphasize the broader significance of the three-time MVP rejoining the team, framing the development around larger questions facing the franchise.

Outlets such as Yahoo Sports and CBS Sports explore whether Judge can revive the Yankees offense and address the various challenges the team faces. Meanwhile, MLB.com published commentary from a former MVP debating whether Judge is the greatest hitter ever ahead of his return. Concurrently, other game coverage from Pinstripe Alley and Yahoo Sports highlights that the Yankees defeated the Rockies five to three, securing a win aided by Cam Schlittler's pitching gem and a late home run blast by Heliot Ramos, which allowed the team to clinch their thirty-fourth consecutive winning season. Context provided across the reporting highlights the high anticipation surrounding the activation of the star player from the injured list. Leading up to his appearance, speculation arose through various channels, with Yahoo Sports questioning whether rising ticket prices hinted at the impending return of the team captain.

The extensive duration of his absence—nearly one hundred days recovering from a rib fracture—establishes the high stakes for the team as they navigate the final stretches of the season. Analysts and media platforms have positioned his comeback as a central storyline, examining both his individual performance at the plate and his overarching impact on the roster's offensive capabilities. Looking ahead, coverage does not yet specify the exact lineup configurations or immediate playing time restrictions for Judge in subsequent games following his early removal. Observers will continue to monitor how the Yankees manage their star player's health and playing time as the team progresses past their thirty-fourth straight winning season. Future updates from the beat writers and sports networks will track whether Judge overcomes his hitless return and how his presence alters the team's offensive output for the remainder of the schedule.
