## Executive Summary
Hersheypark bids farewell to the Tidal Force water ride, ending 32 years of operation on September 7, 2026.

## Intelligence Brief
Hersheypark has confirmed the permanent closure of one of its long-standing attractions, the Tidal Force water ride. According to reports from WGAL and abc27.com, September 7, 2026, marked the final day of operation for the ride. The attraction is being retired after serving park guests for 32 years, bringing an end to what WGAL described as three decades of big splashes. The closure was formally confirmed by the park on the date of the final operation, signaling the end of an era for the specific ride within the larger theme park environment. Extensive coverage of the event has been provided by a variety of theme park and general news outlets. People.com specifically highlighted that the park is saying goodbye to the beloved Tidal Force, while WGAL and abc27.com focused on the immediate timeline of the final day of operation.

Specialized industry sites including Disney Fanatic, AllEars.Net, and the Disney Food Blog also issued reminders and confirmations regarding the September 7 deadline. Additionally, reports from Inside the Magic and insidethemagic.net noted the closure within the broader context of the park's history, referencing a 120-year timeframe associated with Hersheypark. The significance of this closure is rooted in the ride's 32-year tenure as a staple of the park's entertainment offerings. For over three decades, Tidal Force operated as a primary water-based attraction, contributing to the park's identity as a major destination. The coverage emphasizes the emotional weight of the closure, with People.com describing the ride as beloved. This event reflects the natural lifecycle of theme park attractions, where long-term installations are eventually phased out to make room for changes or updates within the park's layout.

Observers are now looking toward the aftermath of the Tidal Force removal. While coverage from sources like Disney Fanatic and AllEars.Net focused on the date of the shutdown, the reports do not specify what will replace the attraction or if the site will remain vacant. Future developments will likely center on how Hersheypark manages the space previously occupied by the 32-year-old ride. For now, the factual record established by the reporting outlets confirms only the permanent cessation of operations as of September 7, 2026.
