> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-09-08 20:07 UTC · Category: Entertainment

## Executive Summary
Actress Lori Loughlin has officially filed for divorce from husband Mossimo Giannulli nearly one year after their separation.

## Intelligence Brief
This legal action comes after the couple had been separated for nearly one year. The filing marks a definitive legal step in the dissolution of their marriage, ending a partnership that spanned nearly 30 years. The news of the filing was widely distributed across several major media outlets, signaling the formal end of their domestic union. Extensive coverage of the filing has been provided by People, NBC News, and USA Today, all of which confirmed that Loughlin initiated the divorce process. Yahoo also reported on the development, describing the filing as a major step taken by the actress nearly a year after her split from Giannulli.

These outlets emphasize the timeline of the separation and the significant duration of the marriage, noting that the couple had been together for almost three decades before the decision to legally part ways. To understand the current situation, it is necessary to note the timeline established by the reporting. The couple did not file for divorce immediately upon their split; instead, a period of nearly one year passed between the initial separation and the formal court filing reported today. The length of the marriage, cited as nearly 30 years by NBC News, provides context for the scale of the legal separation. This duration highlights the long-term nature of the relationship that is now being dissolved through the judicial system.

Looking forward, the coverage indicates that the primary focus remains on the legal proceedings following the filing. While the reports from People and USA Today confirm the act of filing for divorce, they do not specify the immediate next steps in the court process or provide details on the terms of the separation. Observers will be monitoring for further updates regarding the legal status of the marriage and any subsequent statements from Loughlin or Giannulli as the case moves through the legal system.
