## Executive Summary
The creators of ‘South Park’ have renamed their series ‘South America’ to mock President Trump and tech giants Apple and Google.

## Intelligence Brief
The animated series ‘South Park’ has officially changed its name to ‘South America’ as part of a calculated stunt aimed at mocking President Trump. According to reports from Variety, the creators of the show are using this name change to roast major technology companies, specifically naming Apple and Google for their actions. The coverage indicates that this move is a direct response to the decision by Apple and Google to obey a name change mandated by Trump regarding Lake America. This satirical shift marks a high-profile instance of the show utilizing its own branding to comment on current political directives and the compliance of big tech firms. Various media outlets are tracking the development of this stunt, with Variety highlighting the specific targeting of Apple and Google.

USA Today describes the move as a stunt intended to mock President Trump, while The Daily Beast reports that the name change was revealed specifically to humiliate the president. Deadline further expands the scope of the satire, noting that the show is not only skewering Trump but is also taking aim at Paramount. The collective reporting across these four outlets suggests a multi-layered critique involving government authority, corporate obedience, and the show's own parent company. To understand the context of this event, readers must look at the underlying conflict involving the renaming of Lake America. Variety explains that the catalyst for the ‘South Park’ name change was the obedience shown by Google and Apple toward President Trump’s directives concerning the lake's name.

By renaming their own program to ‘South America,’ the creators are drawing a parallel between the government-mandated name change of a geographic location and the ability of political power to influence naming conventions and corporate behavior across different industries. Moving forward, the situation remains focused on the fallout from this satirical rebranding. The coverage establishes that the creators are intentionally targeting a wide array of entities, from the executive branch of the government to the leadership at Apple, Google, and Paramount. Observers will be watching to see how these organizations respond to being roasted by the series and whether the name change to ‘South America’ will persist as a long-term fixture or remain a temporary stunt. For now, the focus remains on the public humiliation of the targeted figures and companies as reported by the press.
