## Executive Summary
The US has completed a secret four-month mission to clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz amid a deepening economic crisis in Iran.

## Intelligence Brief
The United States has concluded a covert operation in the Strait of Hormuz that lasted four months and focused on mine-clearing activities. According to reporting from Iran International, this mission was carried out in secret to remove maritime hazards from one of the world's most critical shipping lanes. While the technical details of the mission's execution remain undisclosed, the operational duration is specified as four months of active covert work. This strategic military action takes place against a backdrop of extreme tension in the region. Coverage of the broader regional situation is provided by several outlets, including Iran International, The New Arab, IranWire, and irannewsupdate.com.

While Iran International focuses on the specific military operation by the US, other outlets highlight the severe domestic repercussions currently facing the Iranian population. The New Arab explicitly links the cost of survival in Iran to the ongoing US war, suggesting a direct connection between geopolitical conflict and the internal economic pressures felt by Iranian citizens. Contextual reporting emphasizes a state of structural collapse within the Iranian economy. Analysis provided by Masoud Nili, as reported by IranWire, suggests that the nation is facing a systemic failure. This is further detailed by irannewsupdate.com, which describes a critical cost-of-living crisis.

Families in Iran are reportedly being forced to make impossible choices between basic necessities, specifically choosing between food, housing, healthcare, and education as the economy continues to deteriorate. Future developments to watch include the long-term impact of the US mine-clearing mission on maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the coverage suggests a need to monitor whether the economic instability described by IranWire and irannewsupdate.com leads to further structural collapse. Observation of the relationship between US military activities and the Iranian cost-of-living crisis, as framed by The New Arab, will remain a central point of regional analysis.
