> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-09-08 01:07 UTC · Category: Technology

## Executive Summary
A leaked release date and pricing for a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake have surfaced online just before a scheduled Nintendo Direct event.

## Intelligence Brief
A wave of reports indicates that details regarding a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have appeared online prior to an upcoming Nintendo Direct. According to ScreenRant, the release date for the title has surfaced, while Nintendo Everything reports that pricing for the game on the Switch 2 has been revealed. These developments follow an official update from Nintendo as listed by IMDb. Further specifics regarding the product's availability emerged via nintendoworldreport.com, which notes that an Australian eShop listing for the game added pricing details ahead of the scheduled presentation. Multiple media outlets are tracking different aspects of the rollout. VICE has announced a first look at the remake, while vooks.net has focused on the revelation of the game's pricing.

There is also reporting from tribune.com.pk regarding a suspected leak of a Collector's Edition of the title. While the official announcement is expected during the Nintendo Direct, these disparate reports across gaming and general news sites suggest a coordinated or systemic leak of product information across multiple regions and platforms. Contextual details regarding the development of the project have also entered the public discourse. Nintendo Wire reports on a rumor suggesting that Monolith Soft may be the entity responsible for developing this particular remake of the Ocarina of Time title. The inclusion of the Switch 2 in the pricing reports from Nintendo Everything marks a significant hardware detail tied to the software's launch. This suggests the remake is positioned as a title for Nintendo's next-generation hardware rather than the current console iteration.

Observers are now awaiting the Nintendo Direct to confirm the veracity of the leaked release date and pricing. Coverage does not yet specify the exact date of the Direct or the specific price points mentioned in the Australian eShop or the Switch 2 listings. The industry is watching for an official confirmation of Monolith Soft's involvement in the project and further details regarding the contents of the reported Collector's Edition. The official Nintendo update mentioned by IMDb serves as the primary anchor for these surrounding rumors and leaks.
