Ben Affleck’s Dad Timothy Died Within Months of Mom Chris Anne, Brother Casey Reveals

Casey Affleck has publicly disclosed that both he and his brother, Ben Affleck, experienced the loss of their parents during the current year. Specifically, Casey revealed that their father, Timothy, passed away earlier this year. This disclosure confirms that the loss of their father occurred within months of the passing of their mother, Chris Anne. Coverage of this revelation has been widespread across several major news outlets and regional reports. According to reports from USA Today and The Daily Beast, the information was shared by Casey Affleck. The Daily Beast specifically highlighted that the death of their father was kept secret until this revelation.

Further reporting from InStyle provided the specific names of the parents, identifying them as Timothy and Chris Anne. Regional coverage from KXAN Austin and KLAS 8 News Now also echoed the confirmation that Timothy died earlier this year, while Cleveland.com focused on the fact that the actor and his famous brother lost both parents in the same year. The context of these revelations emphasizes the private nature of the family's grief, as the passing of Timothy was not immediately public knowledge. The timing is critical because it establishes a sequence of events where Chris Anne passed away first, followed by Timothy just a few months later. This timeline indicates a rapid succession of bereavement for the Affleck family. The involvement of multiple high-profile outlets suggests a high level of public interest in the personal lives of the Oscar-winning brothers as they navigate these familial losses.

Looking forward, attention remains on the details shared by Casey Affleck regarding the family's experience. While the core facts of the deaths of Timothy and Chris Anne have been established by the reporting from InStyle and other outlets, coverage does not yet specify the exact dates of death beyond the general window of this year. Observers will likely monitor for further statements from Ben or Casey Affleck as they address the public disclosure of these losses. The current factual record is limited to the confirmation of the deaths and the short duration of time that elapsed between the two events.
