According to reports from Fox News and people.com, Rock is speaking out about a side of the city that he believes many people pretend does not exist. This commentary centers on the tension between the public image of the city and the realities he perceives behind the scenes, specifically highlighting a disconnect in how the urban environment is presented versus how it is experienced.
