## Executive Summary
Framework is reducing Laptop 13 Pro memory prices and issuing retroactive refunds after securing a limited batch of cheaper LPCAMM2 RAM.

## Intelligence Brief
Framework has updated the pre-order pricing for its new Laptop 13 Pro following the acquisition of a limited quantity of lower-cost LPCAMM2 RAM. The modular laptop manufacturer is specifically cutting prices for the 32GB and 64GB memory configurations. In a move to address customers who had already placed orders at the previous higher price points, the company is issuing retroactive refunds. According to reporting from TechPowerUp, these updated pricing structures are tied to the pricier Core Ultra X9 CPUs. Multiple technology outlets are tracking these adjustments, with coverage provided by Yahoo Tech, Tom's Hardware, and The Verge.

PCMag and PCMag Australia both report that the price cuts were made possible after the company secured a specific batch of cheaper RAM components. PC Gamer has also highlighted the company's decision to retroactively reduce prices for its customers, emphasizing the manufacturer's approach to passing these component savings directly to the consumer base during the pre-order phase. This development occurs within the context of the Laptop 13 Pro's launch and pre-order cycle. The use of LPCAMM2 RAM is a key technical detail mentioned by Tom's Hardware and Yahoo Tech, representing the specific hardware component that saw a price drop. Because the company operates on a modular philosophy, the ability to swap or update components is central to its business model.

The retroactive refund policy indicates a specific effort by Framework to maintain customer trust during a volatile pricing period for high-end hardware components. Moving forward, the primary point of observation will be the availability of these discounted configurations, as the coverage explicitly notes that the lower-cost RAM was secured in a limited quantity. Observers will be monitoring whether Framework can secure further batches of affordable LPCAMM2 memory or if pricing will fluctuate again. Further updates regarding the specific distribution of refunds to pre-order customers are expected as the Laptop 13 Pro moves closer to general availability.
