## Executive Summary
Rams defensive end Myles Garrett is expected to play in the season opener against the 49ers despite missing practice before the team's trip to Australia.

## Intelligence Brief
The Los Angeles Rams are preparing for their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers amidst updates regarding defensive end Myles Garrett. According to reporting from NBC Sports and CBS Sports, Garrett did not practice on Tuesday prior to the team's departure for Australia. This absence was officially noted in the Rams' first injury report of Week 1, which Yahoo Sports reports indicated that two starters missed practice. The primary concern surrounding Garrett involves a knee injury, as specified by coverage from Rams Wire. Multiple media outlets are tracking Garrett's status as the team prepares for the start of the season. NBC Sports emphasizes that the player is ready for the start of the season, even though he lacked training camp repetitions.

Similarly, Turf Show Times indicates that Garrett is expected to go for the Rams on Thursday. This optimistic outlook is echoed by the Fantasy Footballers Podcast, which reports that the defensive end is on track for the opener. The high volume of coverage from sports-centric platforms highlights the significance of Garrett's presence on the defensive line. Contextual reports from Niners Wire suggest that the 49ers may benefit if the Rams' defensive capabilities are hindered, questioning if the San Francisco team is catching another break. The timing of this injury report is critical as it precedes the team's travel to Australia and their first official game of the year. Because Garrett missed significant reps during the training camp period, his ability to perform at full capacity in the opener is a central point of discussion across the listed sports news sources.

Moving forward, observers will be monitoring the Rams' subsequent injury reports to confirm Garrett's active status. While Rams Wire asserts that he is to play against the 49ers, the official confirmation will depend on his progress following the team's arrival and preparation in Australia. Future coverage is expected to focus on whether the lack of practice reps impacts his performance during the Week 1 matchup. The status of the other starter who missed practice, as mentioned by Yahoo Sports, remains another detail to watch as the game approaches.
