## Executive Summary
Pakistan has signaled its readiness to activate a security pact to defend Saudi Arabia amid ongoing Houthi attacks.

## Intelligence Brief
Pakistan has officially pledged to honor its security pact with Saudi Arabia in the event that the kingdom is attacked. This commitment follows a series of Houthi attacks targeting Saudi territory, which have prompted a response from Riyadh. According to reporting from Bloomberg.com, the Pakistani government is reinforcing its commitment to the existing security framework to ensure the stability of its partner. The move signals a formal alignment of Pakistan's defense capabilities with the immediate security needs of the Saudi state as regional tensions escalate. Coverage from Al Jazeera emphasizes that the specific trigger for this military commitment is the persistence of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. The outlet reports that these hostilities could effectively activate the defense pact, moving the agreement from a theoretical arrangement to an active military operation.

Simultaneously, a Reuters exclusive report highlights that Pakistan has issued a warning to Iran, urging the nation to rein in the Houthis. This warning comes as Riyadh strikes back against Houthi targets, adding a diplomatic layer to the military pledges provided by Islamabad. To understand the significance of these developments, one must look at the established security pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The current situation matters because the activation of such a pact would bring Pakistani military resources into a direct conflict involving the Houthis. The geopolitical stakes are heightened by the involvement of Iran, as Pakistan has explicitly linked the need for Iranian restraint to the ongoing strikes being carried out by Riyadh. This creates a complex triangle of pressure between Islamabad, Riyadh, and Tehran during a period of active combat operations.

Future developments to watch include whether Iran responds to Pakistan's request to control the Houthi movement and the actual scale of the response from Riyadh. The coverage indicates that the activation of the defense pact remains a possibility depending on the trajectory of Houthi aggression. Observers will be monitoring for any formal deployment of Pakistani forces or further diplomatic warnings as Riyadh continues its strikes. The exact mechanisms of how the security pact will be executed remain a focal point for reporting as the situation evolves on the ground.
